[It does feel like forever since they've had the chance to truly be intimate like this. They've shared a lot of other fun moments as Bobby healed. They've grown immeasurably closer, quicker than Steve could ever imagine. He feels more for Bobby now than he ever thought he'd feel for anyone beyond his best friend. He honestly never figured he'd feel like this again, and it's surprised him that he feels as free and cares so very deeply for the man that's pressed so tightly up against him.

What they went through was so completely harrowing and Steve never wants to have to feel that close to losing Bobby again. He knows he can't take a single moment they have for granted. ]

I think it has been ages. Although, even if it were only a few hours I'd probably still feel the same way. I've been craving you something fierce. I always do, even when I'm holding you.

[He laughs softly, knowing how silly it sounds. It's the way the heart is he realizes. Steve forgot how painful falling in love was, how it robbed a person of breath almost constantly, and made the heart ache even when together. He can feel it even in his stomach as they stand here together. It makes him want to smile almost constantly, even as his body tries to decide if it wants to be, or is allowed to be aroused or not.]

[Running his fingers along Bobby's toned stomach, Steve slides his hands around to his sides and then back, taking his time as he gets to know his lover once more-- not wanting to push too hard, too fast, but still wanting to offer Bobby as much as he's willing to enjoy.]
